An inside look into A/W 2011 trends

It may still be technically Summer, but with the weather showing no signs of getting better, we're already thinking about what to add to our wardrobes this Autumn/Winter. We've rounded up a couple of the top trends to keep your eye on this season to give you a head start.

First up colour blocking, a great way to give yourself an instant mood lift while keeping your outfit bang on trend. For a subtle addition to your wardrobe, go for brightly coloured jeans or trousers, which can be toned down with a plain top, or brightened up even futher with a showstopping blouse and killer block heels. If you prefer going more girlish look, a bold formal dress or a floral number is perfect, with opaque tights, and chunky sandals to complete your style. If your going for wintry shades aim for mustard and tea, or to stand out from the crowd go for shocking pinks, green and orange.

Since returning to acting, Camilla Belle has hit her stride. After running away from dinosaurs in Jurassic Park The Lost World and kidnapped in 10,000BC. Camilla Belle is stealing this trend with her colour block outfit, her top designer by Gucci. Which you can find some more of Gucci designs on DesignerClothing.com. Top marks. This pic sums up this style to a tee.

Second up, the tomboy! For a long time, there has been a fine line between masuline and feminine fashion, and this fine line can be well and truely crossed for the A/W 2011 season. Low slung trousers, crisp white shirts and waistcoats were all seen on the runways at this year's biggest fashion shows, and this can be be simply incorporated into your wardrobe. Team with chunky heels for a spohisticated night time style, or flat brogues for an effortless day look.

Ready for when the snow starts to fall, chunky knits will be making a welcomed return to the shops this season. Accessorise your knits with a beret hat and a thick scarf to look stylish yet stay warm this winter.
